Everybody else is already taken. This is my reminder to myself to stop comparing my work and art to what others are doing. You should totally try to find cool work and inspiration but as soon as you start to say "My stuff isn't as awesome as (Insert really famous designer's name here)'s" you have started down a road that will lead you away from the incredible story that could be yours. It's so easy to fall into that trap.
Jeff Frandsen is a pretty cool dude. He is on the team over at Vrsly, an incredible artist and overall awesome guy. I was having a pretty rough time the other day and he offered me this advice; "There's always going to be someone better than you. At everything in life. Comparison is the thief of joy. Instagram makes it worse. Do what you do because you love it, not because it'll get a bunch of likes. It's so easy to fall to comparison. Never give up. Keep practicing, keep moving forward!"
